We provide confidential, one-on-one consultancy support designed specifically for individual activists and civil society organisations.
What we offer
1. Physical and digital security consultancy
Get tailored advice on how to protect yourself and your work, both online and offline. We offer support with:
- Digital security (e.g., secure communication, data protection, counter-surveillance)
- Physical safety planning (e.g., risk assessments, safe event protocols)
- Emergency response strategies
2. Legal consultancy
We work with experienced human rights lawyers to understand your rights and prepare for legal risks. This includes:
- Knowing what to do if you’re detained or threatened
- Legal reviews of contracts, agreements, or cases
- Guidance on responding to repression or harassment
3. Mental health support
We connect you with mental health professionals who understand the pressure and trauma that often come with activism. Our mental health consultancy includes:
- Stress and burnout management
- Coping strategies for surveillance-related anxiety
- Help in finding the right counselor
How our consultancy works
- By request only: Consultancy is offered based on availability and the specific needs of each individual or group.
- Confidential & safe: All consultations are conducted with strict respect for privacy and security.
- Online format: We only offer online sessions.
- Bilingual support: Trainings are offered in Vietnamese and English (or bilingual).
We currently aim to support up to two four consultancy requests per month through this program.
Who can request support?
We welcome consultancy & support requests from a diverse range of individuals, groups, and networks committed to social justice and human rights. Our priority is to assist those who may be operating in high-risk environments or with limited access to resources. This includes:
- Human rights defenders who are facing threats, harassment, or repression related to their activism
- Emerging activists who are new to the field and seeking guidance in navigating complex or sensitive contexts
- Grassroots activist groups and civil society organisations navigating internal, strategic, or security challenges
- Informal collectives or advocacy networks working without formal structures but playing a key role in movement building
