Who we are
Activism Hub is a platform dedicated to promoting sustainable activism across Southeast and East Asia.
Rooted in a shared commitment to justice, dignity, and integrity, our mission is to support grassroots movements, civil society organisations, and individual activists working to create lasting, meaningful social change.
We aim to cultivate a culture of care within activism, one where safety is not an afterthought, values are not compromised for urgency, and collective work is supported by strong structures. To achieve this, we focus on three core pillars: holistic security, ethical activism, and effective team collaboration.

- Our approach in holistic security: https://activismhub.net/rethinking-holistic-security-for-activists/

Activism Hub operates under the fiscal sponsorship of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered in the United Kingdom. This structure allows us to carry out our work with legal and financial oversight while remaining agile and community-driven. The CIO sponsor provides administrative support and regulatory compliance. All donations and grants are managed through this registered entity in alignment with UK charity regulations.
Activism Hub is powered by a cross-regional team of committed practitioners with diverse backgrounds. Our members include holistic security trainers, advocacy strategists, mental health counselors, social workers, and human rights trainers, each bringing years of experience supporting grassroots groups, civil society networks, and social justice campaigns. For safety and privacy reasons, we do not publish team names or individual bios.
What we do
We offer a range of services designed to meet activists and organisations where they are:
- Tailored trainings
We design interactive, hands-on training sessions upon request, customised to the unique needs of each group. These workshops cover foundational themes such as sustainable activism, team care, and security practices, always grounded in real-world challenges and lived experience. - Consultancy & support
For organisations seeking deeper accompaniment, we offer strategic consultancy and individualised support. This includes internal facilitation, planning support, or sensitive problem-solving, all rooted in trust, ethics, and confidentiality. - Open resources
We maintain a growing library of freely accessible guides, tools, and learning materials. These resources are designed to be practical, adaptable, and easy to share.
Who we serve
At Activism Hub, we are committed to supporting those at the heart of social change. Our work is designed to serve:
- Civil society organisations (CSOs): We support small-sized and mid-sized CSOs, especially those working in challenging environments, with tools, training, and strategic support to strengthen their impact and sustainability.
- Emerging and informal groups: We place special emphasis on supporting new and informal activist groups. These groups often operate without formal structures or funding, yet play a vital role in driving grassroots change. We help them build solid foundations, navigate risk, and grow sustainably.
- Individual activists: From independent human rights defenders to community organisers, we provide direct support and resources to individuals working to advance justice, often under pressure and with limited access to institutional backing.
We aim to make our services as accessible as possible. For groups and individuals with limited or no funding, our support is offered free of charge. For organisations with annual budgets over $30,000 USD, we offer our services at a modest hourly rate to help sustain our work and reach more under-resourced communities. These contributions allow us to continue supporting those who need it most. If you’re unsure where you fall, just reach out, we’re happy to discuss.
